In 1999-2000 company received National Award from the then Hon. Prime Minister of India Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpeyi for special focus and outstanding performance in trade with Latin American countries.

In 2002-03 company became an Indian multinational company by opening outsourcing office in China for export markets.

In 2003-04 company did major diversification by entering into Power Tools business venture. Initially six models were launched and now there are 37 different models in the market.

In 2004-05 and 2005-06 Company received Export Commodity excellence award from the then Hon. Commerce Minister of India Mr Kamal Nath for outstanding performance in Export of Light Engg. goods.

In 2004-05 company became direct online supplier to Hero Honda Motors Limited for online supply of Tool Kits for their motor cycles as original equipment.

In 2004-2005 company became the direct online supplier to International Tractors Limited also for online supply of Tool Kits for their tractors as original equipment.

In 2007-08 company signed agreement with Mr. Kapil Dev, the captain of 1983 World cup winning Indian Cricket team, as Eastman Brand Ambassador.

In 2007-08 company started Power Tools Assembly Plant at Ludhiana, India. Installed capacity of the plant is 300000 tools per annum. Plant also includes state of the art testing lab.

Eastman forays into retail selling in June 2007. First company owned showroom cum demo & service center was started in Ludhiana. Now company has 6 showrooms in operation and by the end of this year 15 new are opening.

In June 2007 the Hon. Cabinet Minister of Punjab Mr Hira Singh Gabdia inaugurated the 1st Show Room of the company in Ludhiana.

In Nov 07 company has started inhouse dispensary for the workers and appointed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery ( MBBS) doctor to take care of workers health.

In March 08, company initiated two days dental camp for the workers inside company premesis with support of Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana.

By end of July 08 company is launching 8 new models of the power tools in India market. Models include Cut Off Machine, 20 mm Hammer Drill 4 modes, Electric Blower, Angle Grinder 125 mm variable speed, Industrial Vacuume Cleaners, Car Polisher etc.

With Japanese 5S movement company has started Total Quality Management System (TQM) to improve the ultimate processes.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has elected the managing director Mr J R Singal as Chairman of the CII Punjab State for the year 2008-09.

Company is adding 15 new exclusive Show Room cum demo & service centres in 2008-09.

We have manufacturing facilities at Ludhiana for Hand Tools and Power Tools.

The Export of Tools is directed towards 27 markets out of India such as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, Panama, Peru, Bulgaria, France, Portugal, Malaysia, Sri Lanka etc.

Eastman brand has presence in domestic market and 21 vehicle manufacturers such as Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, John-Deere, New Holland, Eicher, TAFE, Hero Honda Motors etc. Eastman tool kits are supplied as original equipments along with the vehicles manufactured by these companies.
